(More customer reviews)I was beginning to wish I had a second cordless drill. Having to change bits frequently is all the more work. With the Bosch Clic system, you just pop the bit in the holder, pull the head back, it clicks and holds your bit. To change, it is intuitive because as you pull the chuck forward it releases the bit as you pull the bit out, all in one motion. Just like putting the bit in, in one sweep. In goes the bit, and the chuck moves back to the click.
Bosch makes several clic change bit styles that work with the system, including self feeding spade bits.
The interesting thing is that the Ryobi bits fit it perfectly as well. I wound up stocking up at the local home center on other bits.
I was building a large outfeed table for the table saw out of red oak. Having to drill countersinks for the screws, and following with a phillips bit to set the screws, all the while clamping and unclamping the joint, made the clic change system the right tool. Saved all kinds of time, not to mention enlongating the battery life of the drill, not having to run it to change the bit fifty times.
The good thing is that the Bosch clic system works without a snag. No hang ups or binding, just smooth consistent changes. Highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)I bought this kit 2 weeks ago and have been very satisfied with it.As for the quality of the product, the fiberglass hammer, 4 different type pliers, 2 screwdrivers and bits, 6 wrenches, hex keys and bag are all high/professional quality.The utility knife is just your typical light-weight standard no frills knife but works fine.The drill bits come in steel cases and I've used both and they work fine.A 13 piece titanium drill bit set would cost you $20 at least!The pliers are all chrome vanadium which is the best material I've seen in pliers.They are definitely professional quality.The fiberglass hammer is as good as any fiberglass handled Stanley hammer that I've owned and the tape measure is as good as any Stanley one I've owned as well although it is only 16ft (25ft would have been better).The level is your typical lightweight level but it is magnetic which is great feature and works fine.The bag that this kit comes with is great.Its high quality and has enough room in it for me to add other stuff.I actually counted the pieces and there are 115 pieces that come with this kit.For $39 this is a great kit.Is every piece in this kit professional quality, no, but most are and for the price it is a significant value.

(More customer reviews)Here's why I was interested in this tool set and why it's pretty much perfect.

a) Hated having to search through a giant toolbox over & over on every project because everything is tossed on top of each other. EVERY tool, component, etc has its own slot and it's a nice tight fit so if you drop it, the 178 pieces do not fall into one giant heap of tools, sockets, etc ...

b) While quality is important, if tools are just tools to you and you don't need/want a $1,000 tool set - these might not last three generations but they are all solid and work great and at a price where I don't have to worry about if people might make off with some tiny wrench.

c) No real compromises on what you get. Unlike other sets, it not missing some main tool. This one has a screwdriver, wrench, plier, crescent wrench set, hammer, saw, etc, etc ... not to mention the cordless drill. Look at the ZOOM photo - and unlike other sets where 100 screws count as part of a "115-set" tool kit, 99.5% of what you get are actual tools or actual attachments to tools. (there are $1,000 tool sets without a hammer!)

d) the box is nice. It's not pretty but it's solid heavy plastic and the pieces require effort to get in each slot - again, that's actually a good thing as I've had sets that look pretty in the picture but if you drop the tool kit, all the pieces fall in a heap and no one really likes to pick through 50 socket heads to put everything back or the 'holder' is some flimsy plastic that yellows, cracks or just gives up the ghost. This is very solid.

There's even a little extra room in the middle when it's closed that you can keep gloves and a towel there.

About the only thing missing is that if the bolt is very long, the crescent wrench does not have an extender and you can't really reach the nut but that's pretty obscure - not to confuse anyone - there is an extender if the nut is merely a ways from your hand but not if the bolt is exessively long.

Other than that, finally a set that will serve 99.9% of your average home, car and even some computer repair use (it has torx and even a tool/magnet retriever if you drop a screw somewhere) -ALL solidly built in a solidly built case with a slot for EVERYTHING. And of course, a great price also! It's excellent!

(Note - this review was written when the set was sold by Amazon at a much lower price than the current USED price).
