(More customer reviews)Let me start with I like this drill alot even though I'am about to discribe all the concerns and week points I have noticed.It is extremly small, good smooth power, a pistol grip handle(very important to me)and stands like a "T" handle, quick change chucks work well, forward and reverse are handy, It just feels good in your hand.

I have used this drill every day for 2 weeks on the job except the right angle and Eccentric Chuck.My old 12v Dewalt DW971 is 10 years old and complaining.This Festool C12 drill has lots of tork for driving screws but when I was drilling a 3/4" hole with a paddle bit(not the sharpest one I have)in a white wood stud it was all it could do, and my Dewalt would drill 1" holes.Most of the difference is the festool has a load protector that is very sensetive and won't let you push the tool(it resets insantly).The other difference is my Dewalt triger was a power control and festool's triger is a speed control that will go very slow and gives it morefeeling of power.The drill has a automatic lock so if you grab the chuck and turn it won't spin the motor and the chuck opens or closes.You don't have to see how close your hands will get around the chuck.The thing that upset me the most is the Centrotec chuck won't hold American bits or extentions.It comes with the "BH 60 CE", but the "BHS 65 CE" is a locking extention that holds U.S. bits.When I figured out thet the Centrotec chuck and the extention are about the same length as the regular chuck it seemed ok, but it could be that much shorter.

The case is ok, but I am used to the handle on the small side so it lays next to you when you cary it.At first the case seemed giant but when I set it next to the Dewalt box it is the same size.The charger is so big theirs no room in the case for the cord not to mention drills and bits.I did finaly get it all in but it took some time and creativity.
