(More customer reviews)I've had pretty good luck with Hitachi tools up until this one.The overall quality seems closer to a homeowner grade than the price would indicate.Number one problem is the chuck, which is continually either slipping the bit or jamming and having to be released with pliers.I think I should be able drill a 3/16 hole in hardwood without the bit slipping in the chuck! Number two is this drill is weak, with gloves on I can stop the drill by gripping the chuck, which I often do when trying to get the stupid chuck to grab the bit. Number three is the battery release which is uncannily stubborn. These are all problems I would have expected if I had paid less.I wish I had paid more and got the Makita.
