(More customer reviews)I have had my 24v Black Max drill for over 3 years and have used it on many projects.It is powerful and dependable.Now after 3 years, my battery is not holding a strong charge for long.It is wearing out after 20 minutes of use, whereas, I used to get over an hour out of it easily.So I am hunting for a new battery.I paid $50 new at Sam's.So to the guy who bought it for $20 at Sam's, you bought one that was returned and they re-sold it as "not new."Overall, this drill and the 24v Channel Lock that Sam's now sells are the same drill, and both perform great.Make sure you do get a second battery so you can keep working as the first re-charges.Red light on the charger is to indicate a bad battery.My red light does not come on.My battery still charges, it just does not last long.Fortunately, I can juggle 3 batteries between the two drills.And $50 for a 24v drill is a great price.Channel Lock is more because it comes with 2 batteries and a hard case.$20 for a 24v drill is a fair price for the drill, now go out and buy a battery.
